Thirty Years of Excellence In Plastic Injection Molding
World Class Plastics, Inc. was incorporated in July of 1994, and we have since expanded into a large plastic injection molding company with a focus on quality and excellent customer service. We are excited to share this milestone with you and have several events planned for the rest of the year to celebrate thirty years of business with our team!
A little history
World Class Plastics was incorporated in July of 1994 by Steve Buchenroth, Scott Wisniewski and Neil Schroer in a small warehouse in Lakeview, OH. Neil Schroer would go on to retire in 1998, while Buchenroth and Wisniewski would continue to expand the business into a new 32,000 square foot facility in Russells Point, OH. This facility would continue to expand, especially as we added new capabilities and purchased more equipment. By 2018, our Ohio facility had grown into two buildings with a combined 85,000 sq. ft. of injection molding space.
Schedule of the Events for our 30th Anniversary Year
World Class Plastics has a big year planned! We started off by serving special 30th anniversary decorated cupcakes at our April meeting, and hosted a special 30th anniversary logo design contest, where our associates could create special designs for a new WCPI logo.
The winners were announced at the May meeting, where we also served special 30th anniversary cookies. Allison Buchenroth designed the winning logo, shown above, receiving a $100 Amazon gift card, Kathy Hall’s design received 2nd place for a $50 gift card to the Cheesecake Factory, and Nick Wisniewski earned a $50 Olive Garden gift card for earning 3rd place with his design.
On May 18th, we rented the entire Bellefontaine bowling alley for four hours where all of our associates and their families could enjoy unlimited games, as well as pizza and drinks.
June 4th, we served fresh donuts from a local bakery and planned out a fishing trip scheduled for the weekend of June 29th for our associates and their families! The event took place at a local camping ground that also had fishing and swimming activities. Even the fish were excited that day–nearly everyone managed to catch one, and one attendee even got over twenty throughout the event!
In July, each Associate received an Idaho Spud candy bar, a 30th Anniversary Uniform T-Shirt, a 30th Anniversary Personalized Drink Bottle, and 2 movie tickets so they and their date can go to see a movie of their choice for the next year. We have also rented out the Decode Zone on August 17th, a local Escape Room facility in Bellefontaine!
Speaking of local, WCPI is always looking for ways to give back to our community. We’re partnering with the United Way of Logan County on August 23 to help with their Community Care Day event, in tandem with our 30th anniversary celebrations.
September 13th is WCPI’s official birthday! We’ll be celebrating that day and have planned an exciting weekend for our associates on the 14th as well. We’ve rented a local farm that has a corn maze, hay rides, mini golf, a driving range, and a petting zoo, as well as a zip line and giant swing rides. We’ve even booked a food truck to make sure everyone is fed during the event!
To cap off the 30th anniversary year, we’ll be celebrating at our annual meeting on November 22, inviting our customers and suppliers to join us for breakfast and door prizes.
